Parrotta Contemporary Art

Galerie in Köln
Sandro Parrotta

In 2007 Parrotta Contemporary Art opened its exhibition
space in a post- industrial hall in Stuttgart. In November
2017, the gallery has relocated to spaces in Cologne,
Brüsseler Str. 21 and Bonn, where the historical site of Burg
Lede in Bonn-Vilich became the new venue.

The focus of the gallery programme lies on conceptual and
media-reflecting approaches, which find a means of
expression in figurative, narrative and abstract forms and
whose relevance is also manifest on a sociopolitical level.
Thus no particular artistic genre is foregrounded, but rather
covers the full scope of media such as painting, photography,
video, drawing, graphic print, audio installation and sculpture.
Within a diversified, international exhibition program, the
gallery provides a platform for both young ambitious artists
and already established positions. Arranged thematically in
group exhibitions and experimental projects, the gallery´s
regular artists are freely combined and undergo a dynamic
exchange with other positions. Compared to the former space
in Stuttgart, which generously spread out over 400 square
meters, the new exhibition sites in the modern gallery in
Cologne as well as the ancient walls of Burg Lede in Bonn
prove to be quite different and challenging.

By means of an intensive contact to the public, as well as a
constantly growing network and a close cooperation with
institutions the gallery´s endeavor is the placement of the
artists it represents within substantial exhibition and
collection contexts. Striving activities of the gallery in the
international art market are accompanied by a strong
presence on numerous nationals and international fairs.
