Galerie Scheffel
Galerie Scheffel is located in Bad Homburg v.d. Höhe and is known for its diverse exhibitions of contemporary art. The gallery has established itself as a platform for both national and international artists, regularly hosting changing exhibitions in its spaces, particularly in the Jakobshallen. Currently, the exhibition "Kopf – Textur – Raum" by Alfred Haberpointner is on display, running from March 29 to August 9, 2025.
Another highlight of the gallery is the presentation of sculptures in Gustavsgarten, which has been taking place since 2018. Here, works by significant artists such as Magdalena Abakanowicz and David Nash are showcased. Nash's installation "Iron Dome," consisting of 46 cast iron elements, creates a striking focal point in the garden, merging contemporary art with the historical landscape.
Galerie Scheffel is not only a venue for exhibitions but also a space for dialogue between art and nature. The sculptures in Gustavsgarten are carefully placed, engaging in a harmonious exchange with the surrounding landscape. The gallery's opening hours vary by season, allowing visitors to experience the artworks under different lighting conditions.
The gallery boasts a wide range of artists in its portfolio, including renowned names like Joana Vasconcelos, Nigel Hall, and Georg-Friedrich Wolf, whose upcoming exhibition "The Missing Piece" is scheduled for April 24 to June 13, 2026. Thus, Galerie Scheffel is a significant destination for art enthusiasts interested in contemporary sculptures and installations.
