R. Puschnig liberates everyday objects from their functions, revealing the inherent symbolism within them. He arranges and combines these found items from another era, which resemble encrypted signs of an archaic script, and gives them questionable titles. This results in ciphers that can be sensed but not definitively understood. The created chimerae, often embedded in mechanical constructions, are frequently movable but lack their own propulsion, thus embarking only on journeys in the imagination of the viewer.
