Karin Székessy
Karin Székessy is an artist who deeply engages with the theme of photography in her work. Notably, her contributions to DOGumenta, an exhibition dedicated to the representation of dogs in photography, stand out. In 2012 and 2013, she showcased her pieces as part of this event, which intertwined visual and literary elements. A reading with Holger Weinert in 2013 complemented the exhibition, providing profound insights into the subject matter and the artistic exploration of the dog motif.
Székessy's works are represented in the Offenbach Galerie Volker Huber Edition and Galerie, where she is part of a program focused on contemporary photography. Her pieces are characterized by a striking visual language that addresses both emotions and the relationship between humans and animals. Through her participation in DOGumenta, she has carved out a place in the discussion surrounding the role of dogs in art, thus contributing to the evolution of the photographic medium.
