Joachim Schmeisser
In February 2009, Joachim Schmeisser accompanied aid organisation “Die Ärzte für Afrika” during their work in Ghana. For seven days he photographed and documented
everyday life and the medical situation. The resulting photos are of remarkable,
genuine people. They also show some of the country’s major problems.
Joachim Schmeisser (born in 1958) is an advertising photographer and successfully works for numerous agencies and international companies. For some years now, the focus of his photography has been on portrait and reportage. His work continues
to win a variety of international awards. This exhibition presents the school project in Ghana which AddYouCation is currently supporting.
