Heiko Pippig
Heiko Pippig, born in 1951 in Mosbach Baden, studied from 1973 to 1978 at the Karlsruhe State Academy of Fine Arts under Markus Lüpertz, and has been working as a freelance artist since graduating in 1978.
From 1988 to 1989, he pursued further studies focusing on figurative art with Prof. Bernhard Heisig at the Leipzig Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Design. Since 1983, he has participated in numerous exhibitions in cities such as Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Berlin, Dresden, Zurich, Paris, London, Moscow, and New York, with his works represented in European museums and private collections. The focus of Pippig's stylistically diverse oeuvre lies in human representations and portraits, where he engages with the history of figurative painting and its relevance in contemporary times.
