Hartmut Ritzerfeld studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and was a master student of Beuys. Initially, he was influenced by Neue Sachlichkeit before discovering Expressionism. After studying and working in Switzerland, he engaged in a powerful, expressive, and color-intensive exploration of the Fauves and Expressionists, resulting in a stunning visual language. He navigates the boundaries between art and real life.
