Alexander Ochs Projects
Since founding his first gallery in Berlin-Mitte in 1997, Alexander Ochs has focused his work on the exchange of artistic strategies and works between China and Europe. The list of artists he has showcased in exhibitions and projects since then reads like a 'Who's Who' of contemporary Chinese art history: Ai Weiwei, Fang Lijun, Yang Shaobin, Ding Zi, Lu Hao, Yue Minjun, Xu Bing, Yin Xiuzhen, and Tan Ping.
In 2004, Alexander Ochs initiated WHITE SPACE BEIJING, becoming one of the founders of what would later become the 798 Art District in Beijing. After 2008, he published numerous texts and acted as an editor for books and artist monographs in China and Germany. Following a consistent program expansion from 2010 to the present, the gallery represents artists from Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The gallery participates in international fairs.
