The nationally and internationally successful artist is celebrating a milestone! In 1986, exactly a quarter of a century ago, he moved into his first studio. Now, he is commemorating this anniversary with the exhibition "25YEAHs" at the Cologne gallery 30works. The exhibition opens on March 26, 2011, with a vernissage attended by the artist.

Born in the 60s in the Ruhr area, Jörg Döring has evolved from a local hero to an established figure in the national and international art market. In the best tradition of Pop Art, he masterfully combines reality and creativity into his unique art - through painting, serigraphy, and collage, ranging from small to large formats.

Cultural icons of the 1960s and 70s are currently one of his major themes: free spirits, rebels, and egomaniacs like Ursula Andres, Romy Schneider, Paul Newman, and Clint Eastwood. He seeks the individuality and authenticity of a personality. "A counterbalance to today's casting culture, to the homogenized and uniform aesthetics," he says.

The latest works presented at 30works impressively testify to the artistic credo that Jörg Döring has followed for 25 years: Never stand still, create something better today than yesterday. 25YEAHs JD - this is art and creativity as a way of life, authentic, passionate, uncompromising.
