James Francis Gill: Pop Art der ersten Stunde

Since 1962, works by James Francis Gill have been part of the collection at MoMA in New York, as well as in other significant museums and private collections.

James Francis Gill is one of the last living American Pop Art artists from the early days.

Through personal friendships and acquaintances with figures such as Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, John Wayne, Jim Morrison, Martin Luther King, and Marlon Brando, Gill has become a witness to an entire generation as an artist.

These personalities also influence the content of his work, which is characterized by a successful fusion of realism and abstraction.
