"Bildgrund11" - A group of artists dedicated to the theme of humanity. In the group exhibition from March 17 to April 15, 2012, at Galerie Entwicklungsraum (Lohstr. 40/41, 49074 Osnabrück), 15 of the members will showcase their works.

Born from the idea of a postcard edition featuring the group's works, the exhibition presents a collection of small postcards and large images. Each artist selected one piece from a pool of 15 images, leading to discussions and suggestions, but ultimately, everyone had to commit to a single work. This resulted in a wild, almost quirky collection of entirely different images. At first glance, there is no discernible theme, subject, or common thread. The only thing the images share is a portrayal of humanity in its many facets: joyful lightness, eroticism, beauty and less beauty, unsettling emotions, seriousness, and even winking irony.

Works by artists Steffen Drache, Bogi Bell, Ragnar Gischas, Thomas Illhardt, Jim Zimmermann, Rene Benjowski, Marcello Rubini, Lux Profundi, Kata Maler, Butow Maler, Aebby, Olaf Joachimsmeier, Yolanda, Karina S., and Andreas Neu will be on display.

You are warmly invited to the opening on Saturday, March 17, at 6:00 PM, as well as to the closing event on Sunday, April 15, at 3:00 PM. The exhibition can be visited on Fridays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sundays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and by appointment.
