Samina (PT)

"I was born in Portugal in 1989, but I currently live in Brazil. Since my youth, I have engaged with various forms of artistic expression, primarily focusing on painting.

At the age of 14, I began my journey into the world of street art, experiencing the process in Portugal in my own way, inspired by what I observed in the streets. It was during this time that I encountered stenciling and started experimenting with this medium, as my projects grew larger fueled by my ambition. From 2007 to 2013, I studied architecture, and what I learned about geometry and space proved to be very influential for my art.

Since then, I have been constantly seeking different and exciting ways to express my vision, looking for challenges in how I can apply stencil techniques to create more complex and engaging artworks that forcefully reveal the conflict between geometry and the human, natural form.

In the past few years, I felt capable of working in a way that established a consistent form, combined with my solidified vision from architecture and a stable identity, along with my interest in graphic design and my years spent on the streets of Lisbon, where I experimented and broke with the forms of street art.

Since 2010, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with many other artists, leading to numerous possibilities to work in countries such as Spain, France, the Netherlands, Brazil, Turkey, and India."
