Manfred Koutek
Manfred L. Koutek was born on March 29, 1951, in Linz a.d.Donau. From an early age, he was independent-minded, imaginative, and creatively gifted. In 1971, he was introduced to art by the painter and draftsman Ragimund Reimesch (1903 – 1980) – initially through private study, followed by further education through various courses and at the Linz Art Academy. The artist, painter, and graphic designer developed his own unique bipolar styles, "Abstract Surrealism" and "Romantic Naturalism." Since 1974, Koutek has participated in over 270 solo exhibitions and group shows in renowned galleries and museums in Austria and abroad, including in Linz, Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Heidelberg, Middle Franconia, Kassel, Berlin, Ravenna, Milan, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Paris, New York, Cleveland/Ohio, Canada, and Thailand.
Numerous publications about Koutek have appeared in newspapers and literary works, as well as on radio and television. Many of his paintings are represented in numerous public and private collections across all continents.
