Erin Lawlor

Born in 1969 in Epping, England, Erin Lawlor lived and worked in France from 1987 to 2012 and is currently based in London.
After an initial period of expressive portrait painting, Lawlor's work underwent a significant transformation in 2000, shifting towards non-representational, gestural painting, accompanied by a completely different painting technique.
With her brushed strokes, she creates an illusion of spatial overlap for the viewer.
