Dzidzia

* 1954

Zdzislawa Worozanska – Sacher,
born on June 30, 1954, in Brzeg, Poland. She studied music in Katowice and became a violinist with the Katowice Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim, and currently plays with the Niederrheinische Symphoniker Mönchengladbach – Krefeld. Even as a young girl, she designed extravagant outfits for her dolls. The artist's works are distinctive, extravagant, and not influenced by fashion trends. The person for whom she designs serves as her inspiration.

"My life has always been about creation, design, experimenting, and reinventing. The fabrics I drape aim to envelop a space. With my garments, I want to frame personalities without disguising them."

Her unique approach to clothing has caught the attention of many attendees at the symphony concerts of the Niederrheinische Symphoniker. She predominantly wears her own creations and receives not only praise but also frequent commissions. For instance, director Jochim L. Bär noticed her during a concert and hired her in 2005 to design costumes for the adventures of Odysseus.

Ms. Worozanska-Sacher creates images and objects woven from countless ties. For her, ties are small works of art that remain the same in their frozen form but present themselves in enchanting patterns and fabrics in an endless variety, becoming a symbol of male success. Her images narrate intertwined human destinies as well as economic structures that overlap to form a whole.
