Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.
Lives and works in Antwerp.
The young Belgian artist Daniel Dos Santos follows an exceptionally strict post-minimalist path with his works. The starting point for his sculptures and paintings often consists of found materials that may seem randomly assembled at first glance. Daniel Dos Santos combines and processes these materials in such a way that they attain beauty in their simplicity. He often turns to ready-made products from hardware stores, art supply shops, or Ikea in his search for materials. Dos Santos' works thus navigate between elegance and fragility, between Ready Made and minimalist formal language.
