Bernhard Berres
The artists lives and works in Leipzig/Germany. He photographs for years preferably in the areas of nude and erotic art as well as natural - Landscape - urbanity.
In his nude and erotic phots he tries to capture the models in sensual, seductive, sexy, intimate, sensitiv, emotional and passionate images. A shooting takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and with sufficient time - the hustle and bustle are poor conditions for pictures with feeling and passion.
He enjoys working with natural models, wo are aware of their erotic charisma and who know how to use them. Classically elegant, affectionate sensual, gentle challenging or provocative naughty poses show his expressive models. His nude pictures are created in studios, homes or in nature. It is important that model, photo-idea and photo-place match together.
The images are to invite you to experience voyeurism and exhibitionism as enjoyable and exciting. Exiting should encourage pleasurable and aestheticly the imagination. Erotic as an expression of personal intimiacy is subject of a constant change of different social and cultural perspectives.
In his nature-, landscape- and urban pictures he keeps the natural and urban areas often in traditional perspectives and visual axes fixed to guide you throgh the lines of the view of the essentials in the picture. He likes to experiment with unusual angels, so as to direct a curiosity arousing interest on well known places.
In Leipzig Lost Places he found in the last two years many interesting photo objects. There it is exciting to see how these places change over the time, just because young people use them for temporary art experiments. To document these art experiments together with the decline of the objects is fascinating him over and over again.
He usually shows his pictures only in black and white and in square format. By reducing the colors to shades of gray and the image format, the image statement will be enhanced. In today´s world everything is colorful and always available. As a contrast, he finds it exciting to let the viewer interpret the respective colors from the different shades of gray. By reducing the colors the viewer often look different and more details become visible.
