This art-work was originally twice as big (see last picture in our gallery), developed in the "original version" shortly after the worst earthquake to date in Italy, 1980 ("Terremoto dell'Irpinia"). It is the sadness and despair in the face of the many dead and injured and the devastated region dar. Quite striking in front of an old woman with a mournful, yet blank stare!
The original painting was shown at several exhibitions and suffered damage from transit, so that the artist himself of the once great paintings (see picture in our gallery) severed in 1983 still undamaged part and newly-signed.
Condition: age appropriate, good condition, minor paint peeling on the outer edges
