The Erfurt-based artist Michael Ritzmann has already achieved international success through his unconventional approach to the traditional craft of enamel. With our second exhibition, we present a selection of his work to date.

By developing his own technique, the artist has managed to break the two-dimensionality of his pieces and open them up to the surrounding space within their structure. Just as Ritzmann seeks a connection between age-old craftsmanship and innovative practices, the thematic fusion of nature and the mechanized world is equally important to him.
