Hanna Hur: THIS IS GOING TO HURT: openeing 4th june @ okazi Berlin

THIS IS GOING TO HURT presents all new works by Canadian artist Hanna Hur. The exhibition tells a story of loss and new beginnings. Hur’s drawings and paintings convey mourning and both fear and wonder of the approaching new unknown. Her connection with loss derives from her recent moves away from her two former cruxes of identity – religious beliefs, and her gradual search for personal narrative outside of the relationship with her identical twin. She is interested in identity deficit and construction.
