The photographer Ulrich Baumgarten was born in 1941 in Altena, Westphalia and has worked for over 40 years as a photojournalist. After education as a technical draftsman he completed in 1967 a course at the ‘photography school’ in Hamburg. It was followed by first use as a photojournalist, first mainly as a sports photographer, later as a photojournalist in the subjects of politics and business. In addition to the current image reporting, he deals with the topic of \"street photography\". With boundless confidence in the poetry of the moment, in the strength and consistency of the situation, he is searching worldwide for his motifs.
