"My particular interest lies in the special powers that reside within all of us, and in activating them through the artistic process, in reaching those incredibly well-concealed in-between spaces..." says Kaminski, referring to the close and intense work with the people he involves in his projects—individuals in unique life situations who are willing to face these processes unconditionally. They are not subjects of the work but active participants in this process.

He meets them in projects or on the street.

We quickly seek the recognizable on the surface (in images, as in life) to find peace, to escape the fear of the power contained within (also within ourselves) that is not an image and is not an image at all. The value of an image lies in the power it transforms and transports.

The resulting images are not an end in themselves but transformers of these powers to the one who holds the gaze. "...for the viewer, a dialogue with oneself in the here and now becomes possible.

The technique seemingly takes a back seat to this intention. Classical artistic methods have been blending with photography and video techniques for years, and increasingly, the computer is becoming the brush. The latest series, consisting of eleven works (today is forever), is exclusively made up of medium and large formats that have been digitally developed and artistically reworked.
