Edward Harrison Compton
Edward Harrison Compton (*Feldafing 1881 - † 1960 Feldafing)
was surrounded by impressive scenery paintings by his father E.T. Compton since his birth. His early drawing talent developed during many years of work beside his father in the shared studio to a unmistakable own signature.
Although wheelchair-ridden for many years, his perspective is always that of the brilliant beholder of closeness and the longing mind-wanderers in the vast distance.
The amiability and dedication which E.H. Compton skillfully spreads the beauty of his sceneries, lets each of his watercolours and oil paintings become a gem of a period that is overtaken ever so fast in its artistic and scenic qualities today.
