Herbstausstellung

The Kunstraum Denkpause invites you to its first autumn exhibition:

Opening on Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 6 to 9 PM

Exhibition duration: November 23 - January 8, 2011.

Reflecting on a rather successful first year in the art scene, we are excited to present eight renowned and intriguing artists and newcomers in an engaging group exhibition at Kunstraum Denkpause.

The exhibition will feature works by the already well-established and successful artists Gaby Ludwig and Anke Landschreiber, as well as the photographer Martin Mlecko.

Gaby Ludwig's body of work is diverse, encompassing drawings, painting, graphics, and spatial installations, as well as interactive projects. She lives and works as a freelance artist in Cologne. During the opening, Gaby Ludwig will engage with visitors through her wax works.

Anke Landschreiber, a former master student of the Düsseldorf Academy, explores a façade of happy beings in her series "so lucky." Dressed as the cloned, good-natured yet dim-witted sheep Dolly, she questions stereotypical behavior and gestures. She lives and works in Düsseldorf.

Martin Mlecko approaches the world as a flâneur. During his walks and travels, he keeps a photographic diary that juxtaposes literary-romantic thoughts with unexpected encounters through a precise lens. He lives and works as a photographer in Berlin.

We are also pleased to present the Polish painter Rafal Karcz and the Munich photographer Josef Karl in our gallery.

For Rafal Karcz, his paintings represent his own visions. He draws inspiration from situations in pop culture, street art, clubs, and the media. He does not merely reproduce his impressions; he processes them—continuing his observations. He works as a painter and photographer in Krakow.

Josef Karl uses passports to emphasize the uniqueness and authenticity of each individual. With his unique pieces, he challenges the mass production of art editions, aiming to restore the high value of art.

Last but not least, the group will be enriched by three newcomers to the art scene, who possess remarkable potential in their work. We are very pleased to introduce the artists Sebastian Fuchs, Jürgen Bosse, and Helge Henke.
