Losing Control
Losing Control -
Object Art, Painting, and Digital Photography from Berlin and Denmark
On April 13, 2010, at 7 PM, an exhibition featuring the works of Berlin painter and object artist Andreas Helfer and Danish photographer of Thai descent, Millinee Chaisrihar, will open at K-Salon in Berlin. Both artists explore the themes of control and loss of control. Helfer celebrates the precarious relationship between order and chaos, while Chaisrihar visualizes psychogenic states of over- and under-control. At the opening, the grandmaster of experimental music, Robert Rutman, will perform on his steel cello. On April 23, 2010, the K-Tafel, a communal dinner with Helfer and Chaisrihar at K-Salon, will provide an opportunity for conversation with the artists about their work and identity in an intercultural context (starting at 7 PM). For the closing event on April 30, 2010, at 7 PM, London-based artist Hanae Utamura will present a performance titled "Intervention."
