Ambivalences

The ambivalences of the self – the tension between who one is and who one pretends to be, as well as how one is perceived by others – form the central theme of Maxim Wakultschik's art, born in 1973 in Minsk (Belarus). With consistently innovative approaches, he explores this ambiguous "image" of humanity across various series of works, confronting it with the demands of our contemporary globalized society.
