Farbobjekte

The exhibition "Color Objects" at the Galerie Klaus Braun in Stuttgart will take place from April 18 to June 6, 2026, showcasing works by the artist Matthias Lutzeyer. Born in Stuttgart in 1959, Lutzeyer explores the idiosyncrasies of color and the physics of materials in his art. In this exhibition, he presents a massive cube made of pure oil paint, shaped by squeezing pre-fabricated elements into a specific form.

Additionally, a more recent work will be featured, where a thick, rectangular color plate has been transformed into a relief through pushing and impressing. This innovative approach to the creative process reflects Lutzeyer's ongoing engagement with the transitions between the inherent shaping tendencies of materials and artistic intervention. Alongside Lutzeyer, works by Christiane Conrad, Dieter Villinger, and Hannah Zenger will also be on display. Galerie Klaus Braun has accompanied and documented Lutzeyer's artistic development over the past two decades.
