Marc Dittrich – Stadtbilder

The exhibition "Cityscapes" by Marc Dittrich will be on view from March 27 to May 16, 2026, at the mianki. Gallery in Berlin. The opening will take place on March 26, 2026, from 7 PM to 11 PM, with guided introductions to the works at 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

In this exhibition, Dittrich presents his photo sculptures, which consist of his own photographs of modern building facades. He cuts these photographs into fine strips and weaves them into new architectural surfaces. This process creates a shift in the motif, displacing the original grid of the facade. The combination of material and motif results in a new, architecture-like sculpture characterized by a dynamic structure that contrasts with the strict geometry of the original images.
