Stefan Szczesny – Arbeiten auf Papier

The exhibition "Stefan Szczesny – Works on Paper" will be held from April 4, 2026, to May 2, 2026, at the Bode Galerie & Edition in Nuremberg. Stefan Szczesny, born in 1951 in Munich, is a prominent representative of contemporary figurative painting and a key figure of the "Junge Wilde." In the late 1970s, he championed a return to an expressive, representational visual language that opposed the prevailing abstraction and conceptual art.

The Bode Galerie has been active since 1984 and specializes in showcasing artistic positions that captivate with their timeless visual language. In addition to its main location in Nuremberg, the gallery also operates a branch in Daegu, South Korea, and has been engaged since 2023 with an art salon in Frankfurt am Main. Szczesny's exhibition will be part of these ongoing efforts to present significant artistic voices in an international context.
