Zusammenhalt in Vielfalt

The exhibition "Unity in Diversity" will take place on May 19, 2026, at Kunsthaus Michel in Würzburg. This event is organized in conjunction with the UNESCO World Day for Cultural Diversity and is a collaboration between the COUNCIL for ART and DESIGN and the VDMD, the leading professional association for fashion, textiles, and home. The initiative aims to strengthen social cohesion and promote the visibility of diversity, based on the 15 theses of the Initiative for Cultural Integration.

The event will feature a keynote speech and a panel discussion addressing how design and creativity can contribute to a more respectful and understanding society. It will run from 12:00 to 14:00 and is open to the public, with free admission.

The organizers emphasize that design goes far beyond aesthetic considerations and serves as a tool for dialogue, empathy, and collective action. In a time when societal debates are often polarized, design is highlighted as a means to foster a constructive culture of discourse and to make diverse perspectives visible.
