The pine appears to listen, the fir to wait

The exhibition "The pine appears to listen, the fir to wait" will take place from April 30 to July 4, 2026, at GALERIE ISABELLE LESMEISTER in Regensburg. This presentation marks the first solo exhibition of the Italian artist Beatrice Pediconi. Born in 1972 in Rome, Pediconi explores the poetic possibilities of light, time, and material in her work. Her primary medium is water, which she uses to create subtle, floating pictorial spaces that address themes of transience, fragility, and transition.

The exhibition showcases the results of her experimental engagement with materials and processes. Pediconi transfers delicate emulsions from Polaroids onto color-pigmented canvases and paper. The minimalist, organic forms of her works evoke floral motifs and serve as poetic testimonies of loss, renewal, and hope. The title of the exhibition alludes to an aphorism by Friedrich Nietzsche, evoking a meditative perception of nature and depicting trees as carriers of time and expectation.
