The 65th exhibition at Galerie Zimmer am Stadtberg in Mühlhausen will take place from February 1 to May 31, 2026. Under the title "In Good Company," artists André Uhlig and Wolfgang Nickel will showcase their works, which, despite their distinct artistic styles, reveal a surprising commonality.

André Uhlig is known for his drawings and paintings that capture moments and evoke memories of travels, urban scenes, and landscapes. His works are characterized by a reduced and fragile representation of people, boats, houses, and city views, where the mood takes precedence over mere likeness.

In contrast, Wolfgang Nickel's glass art features large, round glass objects that create a powerful presence in the space through color, light, and structure. Nickel sees glass not just as a surface but as a spatial medium that redefines the environment and draws the viewer's gaze.

The exhibition explores the dialogue between the two artists, unfolding between drawing and glass, intimacy and monumentality, as well as line and light. The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday, 4 to 6 PM, with other times available by appointment.
