Alex Katz: Zwei neue Editionen erschienen
New York/Nuremberg. The American artist Alex Katz has released two new graphic editions.

Each measuring 107 x 107 cm, these etchings are hand-signed and numbered.
Alex Katz turned 91 on July 24, 2018. The current auction record for one of his paintings stands at $690,000, which is still far from the prices commanded by his American peers like Tom Wesselmann or Andy Warhol.
For years, we have pointed out that Alex Katz has been greatly underestimated in Europe.
Now, as he celebrated his 90th birthday last year, his work is increasingly coming into the spotlight. Four major exhibitions were dedicated to his talent last year.
These included shows at the Serpentine Gallery in London, the Guggenheim in Bilbao, and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Recent in-depth interviews appeared in FAZ / Madame, the British "Telegraph," and "Interview" Magazine.
Like Picasso, Katz seems to be generating more and more creativity as he ages and shows no signs of slowing down in creating new works.
