30works is dedicating its first solo exhibition in Germany to the Spanish artist Salvador Ginard with "Salva."

Intense and vulnerable. Yet with head held high and graceful. Uncertain, perhaps even a bit shy, but still confident and with an open gaze towards others: The portrait worlds of Salvador "Salva" Ginard are as hauntingly beautiful as they are captivating, seemingly filled with contradictions.

In fact, the Mallorcan is not concerned with the face itself; rather than focusing on physiognomic or formally aesthetic aspects, he is intrigued by what lies behind the visage, perhaps even lurking beneath it.

His works can thus be seen as painted states of the soul, where the inner self breaks free, is turned outward, and practically explodes. The 45-year-old achieves this effect through the high viscosity of his works, enhanced by an expressive choice of colors, while deliberate fragmentations and distortions, omissions, and linearly arranged shifts of image planes reveal the full complexity, contradictions, and even the schizophrenia of our existence.

The face as a mirror of the soul: Salva Ginard approaches this theorem in his works with great impulsiveness and makes the bold attempt to make the metaphysical, the symbolically elusive behind the illusory construct of the face, visible.

The artist's tribute will be delivered by cultural journalist Yorca Schmidt-Junker.
