The upcoming exhibition of AVone, entitled „The Way Back Home“, impressively documents the closure of a creative process. So far, it marks the artistic highlight of the American exceptional artist. “I have come a long way down, circling around my beginnings as artist. But everything in the last years brought me back; now I am back home again”, describes Anthony Vasquez aka AVone his status quo. This artistic homecoming shows brilliant multi-layered works, which clearly indicate back references to AVone’s beginnings as street artist. At the same time, they demonstrate his outstanding artistic maturity.
In the process, AVone unites elements of décollage, Street Art and Pop Art to an eclectic composition, which appears tremendous poetic and narratively conclusive, despite its textual and bombastic nature. His artworks are explicit reminders and returns to (artistic) freedom, democratic values, upright attitude and social interaction…
