In the exhibition series "Dive In" at Kunstverein Neukölln, the Berlin-based Franco-German artist Jérôme Chazeix presents his immersive project "PSYCHORAMA," following Christian Desbonnets. This complex world installation synergistically combines individual elements: video performance, music, sculpture, and drawing form the foundation for a multifaceted staging that reaches into the space and invites viewers to enter a pulsating parallel world.
Take a seat at PSYCHORAMA. – Lie back comfortably!
Jérôme Chazeix creates a temporary, mystical space for PSYCHORAMA. The audience enters a darkened room and takes a seat on two specially designed lounge chairs that offer a view of a projection.
PSYCHORAMA invites you to engage in a visually hypnotic experience. From approximately 5,000 individual black-and-white drawings, the artist has created an animated film where clear lines dominate the abstract environment. Accompanied by electronic sounds and spoken word, a total work of art emerges, incorporating aspects of medicine, the body, psychedelic elements, space, science fiction, and anime. It explodes, pulses, poetizes, and metaphorizes. The audience embarks on a poetic, surreal journey into metaphorically neuropsychedelic worlds.
With PSYCHORAMA, Chazeix creates a cross-genre, interdisciplinary theatrical installation. Take a seat, relax, and allow yourself to be enchanted and seduced.
