Peter Berndt: Im Rückspiegel betrachtet

In celebration of his 80th birthday, the exhibition presents a selection of early works by the painter and former UdK lecturer Peter Berndt. Fragments of travel moments from the perspective of the car driver: empty highway stretches, guardrails, details of gas pumps at service stations, or individual car parts transform into static large-format images that resemble almost surreal landscape perspectives. With clear colors and a calm visual language, they still convey stories of spontaneous instances and fleeting moments.
