Midsummer session at 30works: In the course of K 1 night of galleries we are proudly present top acts of german and international Street Art.
It came, was seen – and conquered: Street Art is already well established. This cannot be taken for granted of an art movement, which was defamed and considered as low-ranking and unreasonable for a long time. Like her cultural revolutionary sister in spirit, the Punk movement, Street Art broke with statutes of alleged establishments, generated from an urban environment – and thereby used public spaces, dirt of the streets, concrete, wood and spray cans instead of canvas, paintbrush and studio. To that it assumes an air of rudeness, provocation and pointedly “anti”. Nevertheless it took roots in the once hated art market owed to its increasing virtuosity, which soon was in no way inferior to the “classical” fine art. 30works is part of the local pioneering galleries for Street Art – and carries the discourse forward with its group exhibition “Dirty Works Extended”.
The line-up includes forefathers of the genre as Thomas Baumgärtel and xxxhibition, “young wilds” as Johannes Gonné and Zir0, established acts of Hamburg and Berlin “school” around Le Loup, marshal arts and mittenimwald as well as Cren, Various & Gould and XOOOOX. In addition there are international shooter as The Art of Pau and Mister P – accompanied by local matadors such as Daniel Lisson, Rising F Art, seiLeise, Strassenmaid and Van Ray.
