Marta Borgosz - Champions?

On Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 5:00 PM, the exhibition "CHAMPIONS?" by Marta Borgosz will be opened.

The title of the exhibition poses a question to its audience. It asks what role we play in our lives – the question of the goals and ambitions that guide us. Ultimately, it raises the question of the price we pay to achieve these goals, and what the cost of the decision to pursue them is.

The works on display follow the trend of figurative feminist painting, but they can and should be understood in universal terms.

In her paintings, the artist depicts women grappling with issues and dilemmas that anyone can relate to – loneliness, disappointment, expectations, death.

The exhibition will be presented from June 15 to August 18, 2017, at the Galerie Brüderstraße.

This exhibition is part of the German-Polish series "Junge Meister," a collaboration between the Görlitz Cultural Services Company mbH, the Dresden University of Fine Arts, and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts Wrocław.
