ARNOLD ODERMATT FEIERABEND
Galerie Springer Berlin presents selected works by Arnold Odermatt, recently published in the book "Feierabend," Steidl Verlag. The book features photographic series of scenes and motifs from the photographer's immediate surroundings. Born in 1925 in Oberdorf, Odermatt served as an officer in the Nidwalden cantonal police from 1948 to 1990. He photographed accidents, colleagues, and family. In the early 1990s, his son, director Urs Odermatt, discovered the extensive body of work. In 2001, Harald Szeemann showcased 32 collisions at the Venice Biennale. This was followed by numerous international exhibitions. Odermatt's works are represented in many museums and collections.
