Ausstellung
On Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 5:00 PM, the fifth exhibition in the series "Görlitzer ART – Artist Portrait" will open at the Galerie Brüderstraße.
This exhibition will feature Marianne Wesołowska-Eggimann, the creator of "Maske" and "Spindel" (a collaborative project with Karolina Kielpinska and Anna Rottau). Under the title WESEN, Ms. Wesołowska-Eggimann – who will be present on that day – will predominantly showcase small-format porcelain sculptures.
Thematically, the artist explores the idea of making the hidden and essential visible in her work. Nature serves as her source of inspiration, and human traits are depicted in hybrid forms of animals and humans. In examining the relationship between humanity and nature, a subtly critical social perspective emerges, illustrating both our connection to everything and our disconnection from the natural world.
We warmly invite you to the opening on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 5:00 PM, and we look forward to your attendance!
If you are unable to attend the opening, you will have the opportunity to view the exhibition from March 2 to April 4, 2017, at the Galerie Brüderstraße.
