VOLKER KÜHN - ART IN BOXES

We are particularly pleased to invite you to the exhibition of Volker Kühn and into the clearly framed world of his thought spaces. In his unique dioramas, he creates small stages where the whole world feels at home.

The Brisky Galerie showcases over eighty 3D objects filled with details and a wink, lovingly ironic tributes to the works of significant artists, as well as selected pieces from his series of black-and-white objects and vividly colorful assemblages.

With his high-contrast series, he bows to the work of Kasimir Malevich, associating his own ideas with it and humorously varying its artistic concepts. On a black-and-white stage, the addition of miniature figures reflects the contrast between intellect and emotion.

Volker Kühn's great strength lies in his ability to evoke grand stories within a small scene and to encapsulate them in concise titles.
