Atsushi Kaga – „Usacchi and Friends“
Nuremberg. Fluegel-Roncak Gallery will show from February
til March 2016 works of Japanese artist Atsushi Kaga.
Kaga was born in Tokyo in 1978 and now lives in New York.
He studied at the Tama Art Institute in Tokyo and at the
National College of Art and Design in Dublin until 2005.
The colourful and comic-like pictures of Kaga are populated
with funny figures led by Usacchi, the artist’s alter ego.
Usacchi and his friedns are set in idyllic scenes, but on
second sight the observer will discover the quite human
personalities of Kagas figures and that his pictures transport
an earnest message.
Kaga is an artist furthered by the Montblanc Young Artist
World Patronage. This project is giving young and upcoming
artists the opportunity to present their artwork to a broader
and international audience and to the art scene.
Therefor, more than 400 Montblanc boutiques worldwide
are transformed into art galleries and present one particular
artwork simultaneously for a couple of weeks.
Fluegel-Roncak Gallery in Nuremberg is focused on high
quality works by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy
Lichtenstein, Julian Opie, James Rosenquist, Alex Katz,
