Nikolaj Djatschenko - Soloausstellung
Vernissage: January 29 at 7:00 PM
The paintings by Nikolaj Djatschenko evoke melancholic and sometimes apocalyptic moods through figurative representations of landscapes, deserts, abandoned ships, and the mysterious characters that seem to inhabit these worlds. The solitary inhabitants of this realm occasionally gaze at the viewer, while at other times they appear indifferent to what lies beyond the canvas—together, these elements create a unique atmosphere that aims to captivate the observer.
Through his works, the artist seeks to explore the unpredictable depths of the subconscious—this eternal abyss of the human mind. Colors and brushes, paper and ink are the only tools used to depict the infinite expanses of almost Lovecraftian landscapes—no human can assist in this endeavor.
The paintings are created with acrylic and oil paints. Glazing techniques are employed, with the artist using canvases or MDF boards as the technical foundation for his works.
But digital art, which is essentially just pixels on a screen—the relatively new method of storing and representing graphic information—is also not overlooked by Nikolaj Djatschenko.
