Die internationale Partei der Sensiblen

SUSANNE SCHUDA: The International Party of the Sensitive
August 29 - September 10, 2015, Opening Saturday, August 29 from 7 PM
Galerie Gilla Lörcher | Contemporary Art

The International Party of the Sensitive does not engage in politics, has no concrete goals, and offers no negotiable solutions. The International Party of the Sensitive is a transnational society of perception.

We live in a complex and fragile system that produces an intense backlog of emotions with extreme release mechanisms. The international sensitives confront the signs of the times in an ambivalent and exaggerated manner; sometimes they also duck away and stay at home.

But then they crawl out of their holes again, for the strength of the sensitive lies ultimately in their ability to perceive personal and global ambivalences and dilemmas and simply let them unfold. The International Party of the Sensitive aims to prevent the great withdrawal.

August 29, 2015, 7:30 PM, Speech / Performance / Opening

Susanne Schuda, aka "Schudini the Sensitive," is almost alone in the party, despite all the spontaneous identifications with it. To be honest, Schudini feels a bit uncertain; she doesn’t want to say anything wrong, a typical issue for the sensitive. In any case, she will speak, deliver a speech, lean out the window with sensitive gusto, and we sincerely hope that her fragile lectern can withstand the intense emotions of the world.

Additionally, one of the first supporters, Dr. Irini Athanassakis, will join via Skype from Greece as the party's financial expert.

The International Party of the Sensitive is a project in progress, planned for at least two years. First mentioned in May 2015.
