Aeschbacher does not address the intrusion of media reality into art; instead, he focuses entirely on the aesthetics of arrangement. The randomness and chance of poster tear-offs are gradually leveled out. Deliberately composed works emerge, in which the character of the realities becomes less apparent. His image-word and text collages are not based on arbitrary poster tear-offs—the artist consciously selects his materials both then and now.

In the latest series, cardboard from a Mexican beer brand serves as the starting material.
