Peter Doig „Faint Paradise“

Nuremberg. Galerie Fluegel-Roncak will showcase works by Peter Doig in June and July 2015. The exhibition features prints created between 2005 and 2013, including the print "Cyril's Bay" and the lithograph "Fisherman."

Peter Doig was born in 1959 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is one of the most exciting contemporary artists. He grew up in Trinidad and Canada and currently lives and works in New York. His paintings often depict dreamlike and paradisiacal landscapes characterized by vibrant colors and intense hues. At first glance, these landscapes appear idyllic, but they also carry an undercurrent of melancholy and stillness.

GALERIE FLUEGEL-RONCAK, located in Nuremberg, focuses on high-quality originals of Pop Art by artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Julian Opie, James Rosenquist, Alex Katz, and Mel Ramos. We also offer works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, and Basquiat.

Urban / Street Art is represented by XOOOOX, Mr. Brainwash, Crash, and Bambi. Contemporary artists like Robert Longo and Allen Jones can also be found in our collection.

Regular exhibitions take place at our centrally located gallery on Obere Wörthstrasse.
