Ulrich Hartig. Der Duft von Zitronen und Meer. Impressionen aus dem Süden
Spanish landscapes with lemon trees, olive groves, and cypress trees evoke holiday feelings and a longing for the South.
One can almost hear the cries of seagulls when gazing at "Menton," Ulrich Hartig's view of the city on the Côte d’Azur. The German painter loves the South. Several times a year, he is drawn there, always in search of new impressions. Back in his studio in Sinzig near Regensburg, he creates Mediterranean paintings that tell stories of the scent of lemons, the land of cypress trees, and olive groves.
As if he wants to capture the essence of a place on canvas, Hartig leaves out the trivial and reassembles elements anew. The poetry of a location, the magic of light, and architectural masterpieces continually inspire Ulrich Hartig to create his own unique compositions.
To mark the opening of the exhibition on April 17, 2015, Kunsthandlung Langheinz invites you to the vernissage, where Ulrich Hartig will be present from 7 PM. Admission is free.
