Cornelia Konrads - „außenraum und innendinge - landart fotos und objekte“

The exhibition at Galerie Szalc in Bonn, titled "outdoor space and indoor things - land art photos and objects," showcases these photographs and small objects by Cornelia Konrads from January 24 to February 26, 2015.

German artist Cornelia Konrads is a traveling artist.

On her journeys, she seeks the right location and form for a planned in-situ installation, collecting stories, events, and materials along the way. Her works are primarily situated outdoors, though they can also be found indoors, and they are inextricably linked to their locations. Often, they interact with existing elements, whether naturally occurring or man-made. This process results in in-situ installations that remain at their respective sites and are documented through photography.

Born in 1957 in Wuppertal, Cornelia Konrads works around the globe. Her art focuses on site-specific installations and objects. She studied philosophy and German studies in Essen/Bochum and cultural studies in Hildesheim. She has participated in numerous sculpture and land art projects, including:
International Land Art Biennale 2013, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, 5th Swiss Triennale of Sculpture, Bad Ragaz, Switzerland 2012, Nature et Dérision - Centre d'Art Contemporain du Luxembourg belge, Montauban, Belgium 2012, Sculptor on Campus - Visiting Sculptor Program, California State University Bakersfield, USA 2011, Horizons - Rencontres Arts Nature, Chastreix, France 2008, The Floating Land - International Sculpture Exhibition, Noosa, Australia 2005. She has received guest scholarships in Denmark (2001), Japan (2005, 2009, and 2014), France (2006), and the USA (2012). Additionally, her works can be found in public spaces, private collections, and sculpture parks in Switzerland, Canada, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, and Australia.
