Giuseppe Scaiola
The largely abstract works of Giuseppe Scaiola primarily explore nature, not so much in its concrete appearance but in its essence and color. Brown, blue, and green tones are Scaiola's preferred colors, which he applies either in a wildly dynamic all-over style or shapes into swirling organic forms in space. They serve as signs of organic matter, sensual, earthbound, and direct expressions of deep emotionality, yet they embody forms of the highest abstraction.
Scaiola's painting has remained unaffected by trends and contemporary movements. It steadfastly seeks its own path—an impressively necessary position in today's art.
